Guest Speaker Robyn McCallum, Apiculturist, will give a lecture on Spring and Summer Management, including Spring dwindling, monitoring and managing common pests and diseases, splitting hives, swarm management and other topics.

Beekeeper Don Porter will give a workshop on how to properly approach and open a hive, inspecting a hive, determining if the colony is queen right, and monitoring for varroa mites.

There is a limit of 40 participants, and preregistration is required. The fee for the workshop is non-refundable, and includes lunch and refreshments. $40 for Foods of the Fundy Valley members, $45 for non-members.
